About us

Every Hit Counts is a brain health awareness initiative founded to improve understanding, prevention, and early recognition of traumatic brain injury (TBI), particularly in communities where brain injuries are often misunderstood or overlooked.

Inspired by the need to address the hidden burden of brain injury, Every Hit Counts uses education, storytelling, animation, and community engagement to communicate a simple but powerful message:

“No blood does not mean no brain injury.”

The initiative aims to challenge common misconceptions that a person is only injured when there is visible trauma or loss of consciousness. Through accessible educational resources and awareness programmes, Every Hit Counts promotes early recognition of warning signs, safer behaviours, appropriate care-seeking, and long-term brain health.

Our work focuses on engaging schools, athletes, transport communities, healthcare professionals, families, and the wider public to create a culture where every head impact is taken seriously.

Every Hit Counts collaborates with Unique Community Group (UCG), a legally recognised community organisation in Cameroon, to support community outreach and programme implementation.

Together, we envision communities where brain injuries are recognised early, prevented where possible, and managed with knowledge, compassion, and action.
